Carex kobomugi Ohwi – осока из секции Macrocephalae, близка к Carex macrocephala. Произрастает на приморских и озерных песках. Описана из Японии, в России произрастает в Приморском крае и на юге Сахалина. Фото: юг Приморья, начало августа 2009 г., у моря.

Я не знаю японского, но у меня подозрение, что kobomugi - это не в честь некого японца (как у нас полагают), а японское название этой осоки (и поэтому русское название должно писаться с маленькой буквы).

Это значит, что KOUBOU-MUGI - это в системе японских названий некие слова, которыми называют осоки из группы Macrocephalae (и называли так еще до того, когда эта секция была выделена). MUGI - это ячмень, но, например, овес - KARASU-MUGI. KOUBOU в словаре значится как "offense defense" (как это корректно перевести я не знаю).

Я просто обратил внимание, что японские имена-фамилия ВСЕГДА оканчиваются на гласную. Если бы Кобомуги был человеком, то тогда видовой эпитет должен был быть kobomugii .

Я поинтересовался этим вопросом у своей руководительницы (она японка). Она сказала, что вряд ли kouboumugi - это чьё-то имя. Mugi, по ее словам, означает хлебные злаки, а что такое koubou или kobo, она не знает. Однако по ссылке Juglans-a можно найти, что Koubou - это японское название Hierochloe odorata. Получается, что kouboumugi - это что-то вроде "зубровкового колоса" smile.gif , и писать это название по-русски правильнее с маленькой буквы.

Август 2011, юг Приморья, у моря. Отличается от Carex macrocephala не столь "растопыренными" колосками.
