Приятной неожиданностью было найти лобарию на Кавказе. Оказывается, там находится небольшой, оторванный от основной части, фрагмент обширного ареала этого лишайника. На Кавказе он считается редким, хотя в районе реки Мзымты я встречал его неоднократно. Вид внесен в Красную книгу Российской Федерации с 2 категорией редкости.
Снимки сделаны 31 марта 2012 года. Лес по левому борту Дзыхринского ущелья Сочинского района Краснодарского края.

Полюбуйтесь на биотоп, точнее, на его останки. Живописная картина (достойная кисти Верещагина), открывающаяся, если отойти метров 30 от дерева с лобарией. На сохранившихся табличках с издевательскими надписями "Не оставляй мусор в лесу", "Берегите лес от пожара"... стоило бы заменить надписи на эпитафию "Здесь когда-то был колхидский лес".
